Kulgam-(Devsar), April 17, 2018: Peoples Democratic Party Vice-President Mohmmad Sartaj Madni on Tuesday asked alliance partner Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) to ‘think about’ the expelled Minister who held rallies in Samba and kathua districts of Jammu to demand a CBI probe to Rassana rape and murder case of 8 year old nomadic girl.

“Our Chief Minister played important role in the Rassana rape and murder case. BJP responded to Chief Minister gracefully when she demanded the expulsion of two ministers. Now I think BJP must think about him (Minister) like National Conference expelled members for siding with the accused,” Madni told Early Times after addressing a gathering in South Kashmir’s Devsar area.

Public Works Minister Nayeem Akther accompanied Party Vice President and addressed the gathering.

He too requested the expelled Minister to help the government in restoring peace and upholding the communal harmony in the region.

“Mr Lal Singh is my friend and a neighbor I would like to request him to not do anything that will disturb the peace and communal harmony in the region,” Nayeem said.

He said that there was no need to handover the case to CBI for investigation as the Crime Branch of Police has probed the case professionally as well as on scientific lines and the victim’s family is satisfied with the investigation.

Commenting on the recent developments, Madni appreciated the Indo-Pak Army Chief’s call for dialogue for the resolution of issues pertaining to both the countries.

“PDP’s core ideology is that dialogue is the only way forward for resolving the contentious issues. We haven’t derailed from our track and we will keep propagating our ideology,” Madni said while addressing a huge gathering in Devsar area of South Kashmir.

He said that the recent statements made by the India and Pakistan Army Chiefs haven’t surprised him but the statements coming out from Army and Police headquarters from both sides were encouraging and ‘appreciable’.

“These statements have vindicated our position on the issues which both the nations are confronting. Gun will not yield any solution it’s now clear now,” he said while requesting both the countries to initiate a process dialogue and reconciliation for the resolution of issues.

Commenting on the recent developments, Vice President PDP, Mohammad Sartaj Madni said that there is no chaos and confusion between alliance partners PDP and BJP.

He said the Agenda of Alliance (AoA) between the two coalition partners will be carried forward in true spirit.

Important to mention here, expelled BJP Minister held a series of rallies in Samba and Kathua districts of Jammu and demanded that the Rasana rape and murder case be handed over to CBI for fair investigation.
