Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 18: A joint meeting of the Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) J&K was held here today under the Chairmanship of Shadi Lal Pandita President JTC/SKF J&K. The meeting was attended by the office bearers and members.
During the course of meeting various issues were discussed in detail and the participants expressed their grave concern over the lack of residential accommodation to the Migrant employee serving in Kashmir Province under Prime Minister Employment Package. While addressing the participants Shadi Lal Pandita has said that the Government has assured that 6000 residential flats shall be brought up in Districts of Anantnag, Srinagar, Baramulla and Kupwara for ensuring suitable residential accommodation to the Migrant employees in these District. Pandita has said that neither land in District Baramulla/Kupwara has been taken up this has resulted that the employees in both Districts of Baramulla and Kupwara have been put to suffering as they have to manage hired accommodation on exorbitant monthly rent which has further added to the sufferings of these migrant employees. Pandita has demanded that immediate steps are required to be taken by the government for identifying land both in District Kupwara and Baramulla for construction of additional 3000 residential flat to accommodation these Migrant employees suitably.
