| "Swachh Bharat Diwas" organized | | |  Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Apr 18: "Swachh Bharat Diwas" under "Gram Swaraj Abhiyaan-2018" was organized in Conference Hall of New DC Office Complex Kishtwar by the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj.
Deputy Commissioner Angrez Singh and Anil Kumar Chandail (KAS) Assistant Commissioner (Dev.) were present on the occasion. The main programme at District level was organized under the guidance of District Panchayat Officer, Kishtwar, Sunil Kumar Bhutyal.
The objective of the Swachh Bharat Diwas was to inculcate the habits of health, hygiene and sanitation so as to bring improvement in the general quality of life in the rural areas by promoting cleanliness, hygiene and eliminating open defecation.
Sunil Kumar Bhutyal stressed for the clean and green India and appealed for achieving of the Open Defecation Free District for the Kishtwar within the stipulated timelines.
In this regard, Swachtta pledge was administered to all the participants by Sh. Dewan Chand Thakur, District Youth Services & Sports Officer, Kishtwar.
On the occasion a cleanliness drive was also launched in and around the New DC Office Complex under the supervision of Dr. Sanjay Sen and at the end an Swacchta Express was also launched with the motto to aware the rural masses regarding the various issues associated with the health, hygiene and sanitation.
The whole event was coordinated byRoopesh Kumar Sharma and the vote of thank was presented by Deewan Chand District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Kishtwar. |
