| Swachh Bharat Diwas observed at Kishtwar | | | Early Times Report
KISHTWAR, Apr 18: The nationwide campaign "Swachh Bharat Diwas" under "Gram Swaraj Abhiyaan-2018" was organized in Conference Hall of New DC Office Complex Kishtwar today by the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj.
The programme held under the supervision of ACD Kishtwar Anil Kumar Chandail. The main programme at District level was organized under the guidance of District Panchayat Officer, Kishtwar, Sunil Kumar Bhutyal in which ADC Kishtwar Kishori Lal Sharma presided as the chief guest while Abrar Ahmed Choudhary SP Kishtwar was the guest of honour.
The District Officers / Sectoral Officers / Officials of different line departments, educationists, academicians, doctors, NSS Volunteers, female members of UMEED group etc participated in the programme with great enthusiasm and zest.
The objective of the Swachh Bharat Diwas was to inculcate the habits of health, hygiene and sanitation so as to bring improvement in the general quality of life in the rural areas by promoting cleanliness, hygiene and eliminating open defecation.
DPO Sunil Kumar Butiyal stressed for the clean and green India and appealed for achieving of the Open Defecation Free District for the Kishtwar within the stipulated time frame.
ADC Kishtwar Kishori Lal Sharma and SP Kishtwar Abrar Ahmed Choudhary, said that in order to accomplish the vision of government of India's Swachh Bharat Abhiyan - Clean India Mission people should awake from the deep slumber and must come forward and contribute voluntarily in the successful achievement of set out target in time bound manner and should desist from open defecation. |
