Jammu, Apr 23: MLA Akhnoor, Rajiv Sharma allegedly spent crores of rupees on private lands owned by his relatives.
Addressing a Press Conference, here at Press Club, RTI Activist, Sunil Kumar, a resident of village Tanda, said the MLA has converted Constituency Development Funds (CDF) into Community Hall Funds (CHFs). "I have documents obtained through RTI that reveal that the MLA in his constituency has constructed more than 80 Community Halls", the RTI Activist claimed and added that in Mairan Mandran village Rs 21 lakh spent for the construction of Community Hall and balance work, but this huge amount at the cost of public spent in private land belongs to his (MLA's) relatives.
Similarly, Rs 15 lakh have been spent for development Kameshwar Complex that does not exist anywhere in Akhnoor. "Rs 15 lakh spent for cowsheds, where pipes from PHE department used despite the fact that the site where cowshed is located is disputed and the matter is sub-judice", he said and demanding a probe into huge scandal. |
