Bharat Scouts and Guides Wing organizes 'Pravesh Camp'

Jammu, May 25: In order to foster the sense of duty amongst the students, Scouts and Guides wing of APS Kaluchak organized Pravesh , Pratham , Dwitya and Tritya Sopan Day and Night Camp in the school premises from 22 to 24 May,2018. 108 Campers chose to be a part of the camp, which consisted of 58 Scouts , 33 Guides and 17 Seva Badgers . The Camp was inaugurated by the chief guest, I.D Soni ,the State Commissioner of Bharat Scout and Guide J&K. He interacted with campers and expressed his firm belief in the notion that a scout undeniably emerges as a good citizen of his nation as he knows exactly. What to do when anything unexpected happens. Distinguished trainers namely P.L Dubey, ALT and M.M Sharma, HWB . R.C Vaid graced the occasion with their benign presence. During the Camp various activities like Scout and Guide Prayer, Law and Promise, Salute sign, Knowledge of hand shake ,Semaphore Signaling ,First Aid, Knowledge of National flag, Bharat Scout and Guide Flag and World Flag, Flag Song, Knowledge of Uniform and good turn, Formation of tents, Formation of stretcher, Knotting, Wood Craft Signs, Troop Games were performed under the guidance of Trainers and S&G Dept. through play way method with great grandiosity. The Camp culminated on 24 May 2018 with the Prize Distribution Ceremony in which the campers were felicitated for their unsurpassed performance in various activities and competitions. The Programme was presided over by Hem Lata Vishen, Principal APS Kaluchak ,who applauded the efforts of Scouts and Guides and reiterated the vision of Robert Baden Powell that a scout must prepare himself by previous thinking out and practicing how to act on any accident or emergency so that he is never taken by surprise.
