| Gorkha Cricket Club thrashes Lion cricket club by 7 runs | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 25 : Gorkha Cricket Club registered emphatic wins against Lions Cricket Club and entered in the next stage in JKCA Premier Cricket Championship organized by JKCA at Science College Ground Jammu.
The Cricket Championship is being organized under the supervision of Jang Bahadur Singh Jamwal, Member JKCA and the slogan of the Championship is "Champions keep Playing until they get it right". Gorkha Cricket Club defeated Lions Cricket Club by 7 runs. Batting First Gorkha Cricket Club scored 196 runs for 9 wickets in 30 overs game. Nikhil with 52 runs, Rahul 48 runs and Sakib 27 runs were the main scorers of GCC. From Bowling side Sandeep took 3 wicket, Anuj took 2 wickets while Vinod and Suransh took 1 wicket each.
In reply Lions Cricket Club could not chased the target and managed to score 189 runs in the allotted 30 overs game by losing 8 wickets thus lost the match by 7 runs. Shubam 76 runs, Nahan 26 runs and Ashish 19 runs were the main scorers. From Bowling side Rahul took 3 wickets, Pankaj took 2 wickets, while Adil took 1 wicket. Nikhil was declared as Man of the match for his great batting performance. |
