sRINAGAR, May 30: Jammu and Kashmir Government on Wednesday issued formal orders for payment of Seventh Pay Commission pension arrears in respect of pensioners with age more than 80 years in cash in one go.
"Pension arrears in respect of pensioners with age more than 80 years shall be paid in cash, in one go," said an order issued by the Principal Secretary Finance, Navin Kumar Choudhary.
It said the pay and pension arrears, if any, in respect of employees who retired shall retire with effect from 01-01-2016 to 31-05-2018, whose arrears cannot be credited to respective GP Fund Accounts shall be paid in cash in three equal six-monthly installments.
Responding to the plea of the elderly pensioners, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti had last week announced that the arrears of pensioners above 80 years of age would be paid in one go. |
