Cheater held, 4 Air Conditioners, 3 stabilizers recovered

Jammu, May 30: Police today claimed to have arrested a cheater and recovered 4 Air conditioners (ACs), 03 stabilizers amounting around Rs 1.5 lakhs from his possession.
Police spokesman said that Vihaan Raina of Shakti Nagar Jammu lodged a written complaint in police post Sarwal that on 23-05-2018 he received a telephonic call and the caller ordered 04 Air Conditioners (ACs) and ask for delivery also.
"On delivering 04 AC, the caller sent 02 labourers to receive the ACs and on unloading the ACs the caller told the auto driver to collect the payment from Rehari J&K Bank as he is in the same bank and withdrawing the money from bank for payment of ACs", alleged complainant adding that on this auto driver reached J&K bank Rehari to collect the payment, on reaching Rehari bank auto driver tried to call the caller but the said mobile number was off.
Sensing some foul play the auto driver again rushed back to delivery point where air conditioners were missing, said police official quoting complainant.
In this regard a case under FIR No. 73/2018 under section 420 of RPC has been registered and investigation was taken up.
"During the course of investigation one suspect namely Ankush Basur of Rehari Colony Jammu was arrested and during sustain questioning the said accused confessed his involvement in the instant case", said police official adding that on his confession 03 Window Air Conditioners and 01 Split air conditioner total 04 Air Conditioner of Blue star company and 03 stabilizers amounting around Rs 1.5 lakhs were recovered from his possession. The arrest and recovery is made by a team of police spot Sarwal headed by SI Jatinder Rakwal in-charge police post Sarwal under the supervision of SHO Bakshi Nagar Inspector Naresh Sharma and SDPO West Pranav Mahajan and overall supervision of SP city north Vinod Kumar.
