Kishtwar, May 30: The Chief Judicial Magistrate Kishtwar Bashir Ahmed Munshi on Wednesday granted bail to union leader Joginder Bhandari who was arrested on Tuesday on the complaint of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar for allegedly misbehaving with him.
Various union leaders approached the Kishtwar police for securing bail of the jailed leader as the offences under which he (Bhandari) was booked were bailable at police station itself. The Kishtwar police on Wednesay approached the court of CJM Kishtwar through advocate Mohammad Younus Kichloo.
After going through the contents of the FIR No. 140/2018 U/S 323, 504, 506 RPC and the bail application, the CJM Kishtwar took serious note of denying the bail to the jailed union leader and summoned the SHO Police Station Kishtwar Sameer Jeelani in the court where the judge ordered for his immediate release.
The counsel of the jailed leader also took serious note of handcuffing of his client who was produced by the police in court.
After getting bail from the court, Bhandari while speaking to Early Times alleged political vendetta. He said that both DC Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana and SP Kishtwar Abrar Chowdhary "are working at behest of the Power Minister Sunil Sharma," and claimed that he was jailed on the directions of the minister who is acting as a driving force behind DC Kishtwar and SP Kishtwar.
Bhandari said that he was slapped by DC Kishtwar in his office chamber who also threatened him that in case he did not stop demanding jobs for local unemployed youths, he will be taken to task. He said that DC Kishtwar also abused him. He said that CCTV's are installed everywhere in DC Office Kishtwar other then DC Kishtwar office chamber. He said that he will continue to demand for employment of local youths in power projects. He said that in case the companies ignored local unemployed youths, he along with other unions will launch a mass scale agitation will not allow anyone to work in these projects.
Coming down heavily on DC Kishtwar, SP Kishtwar and SHO Police Station Kishtwar Sameer Jeelani, the other Union leader Ajay Kumar Sharma called for immediate transfer of all these three officials and threatened mass scale agitation after Eid in case government fails to transfer the trio. He said that the trio was involved in corruption and are working with companies to muzzle the voice of poor unemployed youths of Kishtwar District. He said that several unemployed youths are eagerly waiting for opening of these power projects so that they could get jobs as many of them turn overage. He said that the present administration is using his office to shuttle the dreams of local unemployed youths. He said that in case the administration did not stop in framing the union leaders in false and fabricated cases at behest of certain political parties, the onus on part of law and order problem will be on government. He said that they will also approach the court for seeking justice in favour of the Bhandari who was slapped, beaten by DC Kishtwar in his office chamber beside misuses his official power to jail him.
Another union leader and incharge Hindustan Shiv Sena Tilak Raj Shan said that DC Kishtwar right from his joining has marked with controversies wherein he was accused of misusing his official position and abusive language against his subordinates.
He said that defaming GRS Bittu Kumar, abusing and threatening Dy. CEO Kishtwar Javed Ahmed Kichloo, harassing of Patwari Rehan Nawaz and issuing order behind his jurisdiction gagging the voice of common people are the hallmark of his posting before today's incident wherein a renowned social activist was slapped and roughed up by him. He said that he even threatened the people who complaint him and called upon the government to remove such ill tempered officer from the sensitive post of Deputy Commissioner.
All the other union leaders unanimously resolved to launch an indefinite strike against the highhandedness of DC Kishtwar and Kishtwar police till the demands raised by the various unions with regard to transfer of DC Kishtwar, SP Kishtwar and SHO Police Station Kishtwar.
