ASKPC hails relief enhancement by Centre
6/9/2018 10:41:03 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, June 9: Advocate Ravinder Raina, President All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference, while appreciating the enhanced relief for Kashmiri & some Jammu migrants, announced by the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, demanded that the Central Govt. should take concrete measures for the security & rehabilitation of the border migrants, lest the same fate befalls them as has happened to the Kashmiri Pandit Community, both victims of Pakistani aggressive manipulations.
However, at the same time nominal raise in the relief is mere eyewash to camouflage the major burning issues of the exiled KP community. Advocate Raina demanded that the Government should take cognizance of the fact that its officials are working at variance to Government proclaimed policies and rendering any efforts, to bring the KP community back to Kashmir, totally unrealizable.
The State Govt. officials have brazenly dismantled the Dharamshalla at Trehgam, Nagbal District Kupwara. Under patronage of the Government agencies, some majority community members have encroached upon the land belonging to Jwala Ji Asthapan at Khrew. It appears the State Government is bent upon exterminating the last few remnants of Kashmiri Pandit identity & beliefs, to once for all close the chapter of their return to the land of their birth. President ASKPC demanded that the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir should immediately proceed with statutory action against the Deputy Commissioners of the concerned Districts, as they are legal custodians of the KP property under the Migrant Property Act.
