JAMMU, June 9: Aditi Bhat of class XII Student of Delhi Public School (DPS) Jammu, brought laurels to the School and tears of joys in her parent's eyes by securing 60 % in Humanities Stream in CBSE class XII Examination 2017-18, defying severe physical odds related to her critical health conditions and several surgeries performed on brain and most of her time spent in and out of hospital wards since Class V.
Aditi, who used to remain absent from the school on account of her health issues, would devote as much time as her health would allow, to cover her syllabus and study for her exams during her post surgery stages.
At the age of 10 Aditi was diagnosed with brain tumor and diabetes underwent surgeon's knife, more than 2 times in 8 years and suffered from hormonal imbalance and obesity thereafter. As a result, she had difficulty in walking, sitting for long hours, climbing stairs and wearing usual school uniform.
Despite being due for another surgery shortly, today Aditi beams with joy at her successful completion of class XII, that too, with first division, and now aspires to pursue her graduation with Arts. She and her parents thank the school management and all teachers for their necessary support and guidance as and when required.
Principal, DPS Jammu, Ruchi chabra felicitated Aditi with an appreciation certificate in a small function held here today and also congratulated her proud parents M.K. Bhat and Pinky Bhat.
