New Delhi, June 17: Pakistan's spy agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) is reportedly keeping a close watch on the situation in Jammu and Kashmir after the brutal killing of rifleman Aurangzeb on Thursday. Intelligence sources have claimed that, Pakistan's ISI is disturbed with the people's anger and their growing support towards the Indian Army.
If sources are to be believed, ISI has also asked terror outfits like Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) and Hizbul Mujahideen to not claim responsibility for Aurnagzeb's killing. (Also Read: We Want Hundred Killings For His Sacrifice, Demands Army Jawan Aurangzeb's Brother)
Earlier on Saturday, the last rites of the Army jawan were carried out with full state honours. Thousands of people bid a tearful farewell to Aurangzeb at his native village in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district. Locals also raised anti-Pakistan slogans to express their outrage against Aurangzeb's killing.
On June 14, the Rifleman's bullet-ridden body was recovered from Pulwama district, hours after he was abducted by terrorists. The deceased Army man was proceeding towards his home on account of the festival of Eid when he was abducted in broad daylight from a vehicle. After his abduction, the Jammu and Kashmir Police had launched a massive manhunt. Aurangzeb belonged to 44 Rashtriya Rifles and was posted in Shopian.
