Katra, June 17: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra in collaboration with the Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India is all prepared to promote innovation in science pursuit for inspired research, popularly known as INSPIRE, through organising 13th Inspire Science Internship Camp wef July 9 to 13, 2018. Notably, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University is famous for its research and teaching in the J&K region, and gradually making its place amongst the leading institutes of India, namely IITs, IIMs, and leading state and central universities.
Until recently, the university has been ranked among top 100 Engineering Institutions by NIRF 2018, MHRD, Government of India, and significantly included in Times World University Ranking List. As reported by Dr. Sunil K. Wanchoo, the Coordinator Inspire SMVDU Chapter, the striking feature of the programme is that it does not believe in conducting competitive exams for identification of talent at any level.
It believes in and relies on the efficacy of the existing educational structure for identification of talent.
