Bovine smuggler arrested, vehicle seized; 8 bovines rescued | | | Early Times Report
Samba, June 25: Two persons were arrested for allegedly smuggling of bovines, vehicle was seized and 8 bovines were rescued by the police and case has been registered in this regard. The accused have been identified as Mohammad Naseer son of Abdul Slam and his associate Puran Chand son of Cheat Ram both resident of Batote, Ramban were arrested and a case FIR No. 95/2018 under section 188 RPC, 2/3 PCA Act, 119/177/184 MV Act, has been registered at P/S Ghagwal and investigation started. As per press statement, a Police Party headed by SI Bansi Lal, SHO Ghagwal under the close supervision of Deepak Digra, DySP Hqrs Samba, during routine naka checking at NHW Tapyal, signaled to stop a truck bearing registration number JK02Q-7711 which was coming from Kathua side. The driver on seeing the Police Party accelerated the vehicle and tried to escape from the spot. But after a successful chase by the Police, the truck was intercepted near NHW Nonath. During checking of the vehicle, 8 Bovines were found laden inside the vehicle which was being transported illegally without any permission. |
