Early Times Report
Jammu, June 25: Following the complaint of financial scam in the purchase of cement bags at discounted rates from Jammu out of the funds of the Sarv Shakti Sewak Sanstha (Machail Yatra Management), Udhampur police registered an FIR against Sewa Ram Gulhari and Dinesh Arora for forgery.
Police have booked Senior Active Members namely Dinesh Arora and Sewa Ram Gulhari Ex-Convenor of the Sanstha for the year 2017 (Head of Purchasing Committee at present) as major number of said cement bags are missing/not reached at Gulabgarh Padder in Kishtwar area since their dispatch from the Udhampur Store of the ACC Limited Company pointing strongly towards the involvement of other Senior members of the Sanstha who are already named in a criminal complaint pending in the Court of City Judge Jammu.
The complainants who are the members/followers associated with the affairs of the Sarv Shakti Shree Chandi Mata Mandir Jammu having its office at Kali Jani, Jammu when came to know about a fresh financial scam worth in lakhs involving senior members of Sarv Shakti Sewak Sanstha J&K (Machail Yatra Management) who were already involved in criminal misappropriation of funds of the sanstha, they filed a complaint with Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu.
Acting on the complaint a case under FIR no. 275/18 under section 420 and 406 of RPC and 120B has been registered at Udhampur police station.
It also submitted in the complaint that a criminal complaint titled 'Sanjay Gandotra & Others v/s Chuni Lal & Others' is pending adjudication in the court of City Judge Jammu against said members and in said complaint the court also directed the IGP Crime Branch Jammu to conduct an enquiry into the allegations contained in said complaint.
It is alleged in the complaint that information about the financial scam came to the knowledge of the members when they heard news about sale of cement purchased by Sanstha at few places and in order to verify the allegations, some of the members contacted the officials of ACC limited having its head office at Channi Himmat, Jammu and they got the entire details from said company in the form of statement of cement purchased at Jammu and supplied to the Sanstha for Gulabgarh Padder for the period starting from 01.04.2017 to 22.05.2018 and discovered that 605 Metric Tons of cement constituting 12,100 cement bags has been supplied in the name of Sarv Shakti Sewak Sanstha Bhaderwah with destination place mentioned as Bhaderwah in the statement issued by company against the total payment of Rupees forty five lakh twenty nine thousand nine hundred only (Rs. 45,29,900/-) received by said company at discounted rates from the Sanstha during the period of 01.04.2017 to 22.05.2018.
It is pertinent to mention here that that the existing Temple of Sarv Shakti Shree Chandi Mata Mandir Chinote at Bhadarwah was completed in year 2014 and approximately 6000 cement bags were used in its construction. The said Temple was/is in no need of fresh major quantity of cement for the period of 1/04/2017 to 22/05/2018 and neither any supply order was made to ACC Limited at Jammu nor a single cement bag is received out of said 605 Metric Tons of cement constituting 12,100 cement bags by the Temple Management, which is running under an independent Trust having complete record/details of all the donations received by it as well as all the expenditure done till date".
