3 held with 135 gram heroin in two separate incidents

Jammu, June 25: In continuation to operation 'Sanjeevani', a special drive launched against drugs by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu, today, a city south police claimed to have arrested three drug peddler and recovered 135 grams hertoin from their possession in two separate incidents falling under the jurisdictions of at Gandhi Nagar and Satwari police station.
Police spokesman said that police party of police station Gandhi Nagar established nakka near Chattri Chowk Gandhi Nagar, Jammu for checking/ frisking of Vehicles.
"During checking/ frisking of vehicles two pedestrian coming towards nakka from Chattri Chowk on seeing the police party tried to escape in suspicious circumstances but the active nakka chased and caught hold of them", said spokesman adding that on their search, the police party recovered 100 grams of heroin like substance from the possession of two persons.
In this regard a case under FIR No. 142/2018 under relevant sections of the law has been registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar and further investigation of case is going on.
The arrest and recovery was made by the team headed by Inspector Sunil Singh SHO Gandhi Nagar
Meanwhile, police party of police station Satwari established nakka at Dharab Road Babliana, Jammu for Checking/frisking of Vehicles.
"During nakka checking one vehicle bearing registration number JK16A-3553 which was coming from Jeewan Nagar towards Dharap stopped for checking", said spokesman adding that on the search, the police party recovered 35 grams of heroin like substance from the possession of driver.
In this regard a case FIR No. 107/2018 under relevant sections of the law has been registered at Police Station Satwari and further investigation of case is going on.
The arrest and recovery was made by the team headed by Inspector Manjeet Singh SHO Satwari.
All the three arrests were made under the supervision of SDPO City South, Jammu Rafiq Manhas and SP City South Jammu, Sandeep Choudhary.
