Udhampur, June 25: The PDD has evoked criticism for failing to replace damaged transformer in Katwath village in Ramnager area of Udhampur district for the past eight days.
The villagers informed Early Times that powerless days and nights make their life miserable in the scorching heat.
The villagers said that the snag has not been rectified despite repeated reminders. According to Sita Devi, the marriages and other functions are held without power. "The sick people in the village are really finding a tough time," she maintained. The concerned AEE told a local that there was no replacement for the damaged transformer of the village. The villagers have appealed to the Governor N.N Vohra and DC Udhampur Ravinder Kumar to look into the matter. |
