People demand uninterrupted water, electricity supply: Jagdev

JAMMU, June 25: State Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir National Panther Party Jagdev Singh demanded uninterrupted water and electricity supply to the people. As per press statement, the State Secretary JKNPP, who was on 5-day tour of some villages of Ramnagar and Chenani areas and met with several deputations of People, Students, Youth and Farmers and also visited Chanunta, Kathil Ganjoo, Dhandal, Barmeen, Blater, Chenani, Sudhmahadev and others.
Jagdev Singh said that most of the villages were facing severe water crisis in this summer season, many natural sources have been gone dry and the public depends on the water of river and nallahs. He said that in village Harityan, Blater at Mohalla Dhandaliya Dabad without water supply connection since independence. People complain that they hundred time visited the office of the PHE Department in district Udhampur but no action was taken to give the public stand or water connection to these peoples.
He demanded immediate replace the old PHE pipes to restore regular water supply to the remote areas. He also demanded the supply of water through water tanks to cover the larger area. The power scenario is worst there is long and unscheduled power cuts, low voltage in the entire areas people are facing hardship in these summer season. He demanded regular electricity supply of the remote area.
A deputation of unemployed youth said that construction companies were giving preference to the outsiders by ignoring the local youth. He demanded before the higher authorities of the state to give the first preference to the local unemployed youth to appoint in construction companies from Udhampur to Banihal. He appeal to the all social organization youth and students to join the Panthers Party Movement against the discrimination with the Jammu region in every field and work for the reorganization of the state.
