Samba, June 26: An annual famous dangal competition was organized at Sidh Swankha, teh Ramgarh, distt Samba by the management of Baba Sidh Goria Shrine today where thousands of devotees from all over northern states attended with great enthusiasm. On the occasion Mahant Girdhari Dassji, Present Mahant was the Chief Guest, Mahant Ravi Nath Ji, Shad Darsan, Saadhu Smaaj was guest of honour. Sanjay Sharma , SDM, Ramesh Bakshi,Tehsildar Ramgarh, Mela Officer, Mukesh Kumar, BDO, Ramgarh, Nodal officer , Sodagar Sharma, Naib Tehsildar , Adil Hamid ASP, Samba,Rampaul Dogra, Social activist & journalist ,Pritam Sharma cashier, Ram Singh were on the dice. Over hundreds of wrestlers showed their talent of in front of people and each wrestler got prize. But the Big Maali, prize for wrestling was the attraction which fought between Kamaljeet from Punjab and Manjeet of Haryana.
After tough fight Kamaljeet managed to win and he received Chandi Ka Kuraz, Kesari Patta and cash prize of Rs.41,000 while runner up got Rs. 20,000. A total cash and articles worth Rs.8 lakh as prize was distributed amount the wrestlers. The competition was commenced from 2 pm till 7:30 pm, where devotees of Baba Sidh Goria Ji joined thousands in number to pay their attendance. The other prominent who shared the stage were Meshi, organizer, committee members of shrine. |
