EarlyTimes Report

JAMMU, June 26: As successive governments at Centre and state have turned nelson's eye towards the plight of Kashmiri Pandit migrants who have been languishing in various camps in Jammu including TRT Nagrota, Jagti camp ,Butanagar camp and Purkhoo camp besides other places in Jammu for the last three decades now, must send their elected representatives to power corridors to get addressed the vexed problems pertaining to the Kashmiri Pandit migrant community, social activist Sunil Pandita while attending a meeting of community members said here today.
Lambasting the politicians and leaders of the state who exploited the Kashmiri migrant community for their petty gains in one pertext or the other but did nothing on ground for their rehabilitation and betterment, Sunil said the time has come when KPs should send their elected representatives from these camps to power corridors and other Government foras to keep issues of the community before them with strong perception and get them addressed at earliest otherwise there was nobody to listen the woes of community, he added.
Taking a dig at mushroom growth of self styled leaders in camps, Sunil Pandita while talking to EarlyTimes said the cause of the community has been dragged to opposite direction because of these so called leaders who have been serving their own purposes on the name of community cause while as the fact remains that no problem of community including employment , rehabilitation and compensation to overaged youth has been solved for the last three decades, he added.
