Previous regime diverts funds meant for salaries to teachers to provide luxuries to PDP, BJP leaders!

Early Times Report
jammu, July 17: Teachers appointed under Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) have to struggle hard to get their salaries and other perks thanks to the previous PDP-BJP which had reportedly diverted funds sanctioned by the Centre for the same.
Credible sources said that Centre is regularly allocating funds to release salaries and toerh perks to the teachers appointed under SSA but the previous coalition regime had brazenly diverted those funds to provide luxuries to the PDP and BJP leaders and family members of ex-ministers.
Credible sources said that Centre has taken very serious note of diversions of these funds which were exclusively sanctioned for the salaries of SSA teachers. During its three and half year tenure previous regime had tried to provide all luxuries to its ministers, their family members and other second rung leaders of both the parties who were appointed as vice chairpersons of various boards and PSUs.
Credible sources said that coffers of the state government were empty so to provide luxuries to the politicians, funds from other heads were diverted and even social welfare and education sectors were not spared.
More than 40000 teachers have been appointed under SSA in J&K and due to diversion of funds by the previous government SSA teachers are not getting regular salaries in the State. Centre is regularly releasing its 90 percent share under this scheme but instead of releasing its 10 percent share the successive state governments have diverted Centre's share resulting of untimely disbursement of salaries to the SSA teachers.
And more importantly most of the schools in remotest and far-flung areas of J&K, SSA teachers are managing education sector and educational institutions are solely dependent on these teachers.
