Jammu, July 19: Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region in collaboration with All J&K Senior Citizen Welfare Council (SCWC) Jammu, Department of Ophthalmology Govt. Medical College, Jammu and ENT Department, SMGS Hospital, Jammu organized a Free Medical/Eye/ENT Checkup camp at Satwari Chatha, Jammu.
Prof. Nirmal Kamal, Former Chairperson of J&K Social Welfare Board inaugurated the Camps and appreciated the efforts of the organizers and collaborators. Large number of Senior Citizen of in and around the area were examined by Eye/ENT team of Doctors and Para Medicos and 58 cases were identified for further examination at Eye and ENT Departments of GMCH, Jammu and SMGS Hospital, Jammu. All those cases identified in yesterday's camp were brought to GMC and SMGS Hospitals today and besides detailed examination were given free medicines and early dates for the free operation etc.
Dr. Bias Dev, Asstt. Prof Ortho in GMCH addressed all the Sr. Citizens especially and gave them very valuable tips to prevent backache and how best they can take care of their Ortho related daily problems. Dr. Rajinder Thappa examined the Senior Citizens for their ailments and provided consultation. |
