Jammu, July 31: Following a protest demonstration by locals against alleged molestation by Naib Tehsildar-Chack Malal with a widow, Khour police registered a case against him and arrested him.
Police said that a case under FIR No. 59/18 under sections 354 and 509 of RPC has been registered at police station Khour against the Naib Tehsildar-Chack Malal namely Hans Raj of Kot Bhalwal and he was arrested.
As per reports, locals of Chack Malal today staged a protest demonstration alleging molestation by him with a widow who approached the Naib Tehsildar for a revenue matter. Acting on the information of protest by locals, DySP Munish Anand-SDPO Akhnoor reached the spot.
Later a complaint in this regard was lodged with the police and a case under relevant sections was registered. |
