| 5 years on, pathanateer Salwah link road still incomplete | | | MS Nazki

Poonch, July 31: PMGSY department has utterly failed to pay the compensation to people whose land come under the Pathanateer Salwah link road having a length of 6km, construction of which was started in 2013-2014 has not been completed till date source said here today. Source said during the Earth work of the said road in 2013, a title verfication for compensation was conducted for those people whose land came under this road and accordingly the list was submitted to PMGSY department for further action.
One Shamim Khan of Pathanateer alleged that he has been running from pillar to post for compensation of over 2 kanals of land, house and trees of his achard which came in this road stretch. According to Shamim his file for compensation was prepared but later on disappeared from the records of deparment for reasons best known to people at hetms he adding that the compensation of the above said land and other property was not given to him since 2015. He alleged that then xen PMGSY department sub division Mendhar had asked for some monetary benefits which the Shamim refused to pay so he has been made to make rounds of XEn's office for years together he added.
While talking to Early Times SDM Mendhar Dr Tanveer Khan said that how can a file go missing from a office of any person The matter needs an enquiry and assured that Shamim will be given his dues after scrutinizing his credentials he added. |
