| CEO KVIB holds meeting on newly introduced JKREGP scheme | | |

JAMMU, Aug 6: To sensitize the District Officers and the field functionaries of the Jammu Division of J&K Khadi & Village Industries Board (KVIB) about the newly introduced scheme of J&K State J&K Rural Employment Generation Programme (JKREGP), the Secretary/CEO, KVIB Rashid Ahmad Qadri held a meeting of the District Officers of KVIB today in the conference hall of the Udyog Bhawan Jammu.
The scheme was recently approved by the State Administrative Council (SAC) of J&K State and its web portal shall be launched on August 10. The scheme shall soon be started in J&K State to benefit the unemployed youth of the all the Districts of the J&K State.
The Secretary/CEO, KVIB Rashid Ahmad Qadri discussed the aspects of the scheme in detail and informed that the scheme is a credit linked subsidy programme and shall benefit the youth of the State in establishing their productive enterprise in micro industrial sector and to create employment opportunities in rural as well as urban areas of the state. He impressed upon the officers to identify the beneficiaries under new scheme JKREGP and work with zeal to promote it. Secretary also reviewed the performance of the District Officers under PMEGP scheme.
Earlier, Rashid had a meeting with the Director Sainik Welfare Jammu and Kashmir and made him aware of the benefits of PMEGP scheme and informed that the scheme can be very useful to the Ex-servicemen in establishing their income generating ventures. The Director Sainik Welfare J&K assured the Secretary/CEO to shortly arrange a meeting with the Northern Command Udhampur. |
