Poonch, Aug 6: Officals of Revenue department in Sub division Mendhar have been involved in corrupt practies and have been looting the gullible public for their petty interests, source said here today. They said patwaris and Girdawars have opened their private offices in the town and freequently demand money.
One local namely Mohd Bashir had visted Revenue Complex Mendhar for getting the copy of his land. He was asked for bribe. When he refused to pay any money they said go and get a cold drink bottle and some pakoda for them. Bashir said I fullfiled their demand and got copy of my document.
Fed up, the locals have sought Governor's intervention. |
