Sthapna of Lord Shani Maharaj Temple to take place on Aug 10
8/6/2018 10:03:39 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMu, Aug 6: Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Management Trust, Gandhinagar, Jammu said that the Sthapna of new Shani temple will take place on August 10th Aat 10 AM with full religious rituals, recitation of Vedic hymns and hawan by the renowned Pandits of Shani Shingnapur temple along with other local Pandits led by Head Pujari Pandit Ashwani Kumar Shastri in presence of a large number of devotees.
The Trust, in its relentless pursuit for establishing new and best possible temples in the premises of the Temple Complex for the devotees, had, in one of its meetings, decided to build a new Lord Shani Temple. Luckily, one benevolent and devotee of Lord Shanishwara, Devindera Khawle of Pune came forward to help the Trust in fulfilling its desire and offered to construct Shani Maharaj temple in the premises of Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir on the pattern of historic Shani Shingnapur temple with his own resources. The grateful Trust agreed to his gracious offer and soon the process was initiated for construction of new temple of Shani Devta for benefit of the devotees, not of Gandhinagar but of entire Jammu.
The foundation stone of the new Shani Devta temple was laid on 23rd April 2018 by the President of the Trust, Th. Gulchain Singh Charak with all religious traditions and rituals. The special gun-metal rock of the same size as that of Shani Shingnapur temple was brought from Shingnapur and installed here. This temple is almost the replica of the historic Shani Shingnapur temple with same design and system of offering oil. The idol will have in the background a beautiful arch of gun-metal of the same design of Shani Shingnapur temple. This Shani Maharaj ji temple is first of its kind in J&K and neighbouring States.
It is the new proud addition to Shri Lakshmi Narayan Temple Complex which already has seven other temples. All devotees and prominent citizens of Jammu are humbly requested to honour the Trust with their gracious presence.
Other Trustees who participated in the press conference were Saravshri S. C.Rekhi, Deepak Gupta, SP Arora, Prem Kumar Sharma, Prithvi Raj Vaid, Capt. Shankar Singh, Karan Singh, Romesh Thakur, Vijay Abrol, Jagjit Singh Jamwal, Kapil Slathia, Chander Mohan Arora and Pt.Ashwani Kumar, Head Pujari.
