Senior Citizens Welfare Forum Katra organises Symposium

Katra, Aug 6: Senior Citizens Welfare Forum Katra (Regd.) organized a symposium on the topic "Respect your Parents and Elders", and Plantation Drive held at Govt. Higher Secondary School Aghar Jitto in which the students of this institutions and adjoining Govt. High Schools like High School Sirla Bhaga, High School Kotli Bhaga and High School Bhaga participated.
Dr. Swarn Singh Chib District Youth and Sports officer Reasi was the chief guest on the occasion. Shiv Kumar Sharma Joint Secretary J&K State Sports Council, who is also Treasurer Indian Style Wrestling Association, presided over the function. Kaka Ram Dogra ZEO Reasi, Ali Khan Incharge Principal Govt. Higher Secondary School Aghar Jitto was the Guest of honour. All the eleven participants from above four institutions took part with full zeal and enthusiasm on the subject. Among the competitors, winners were adjudged as Minakshi Dogra class 10th 1st position, Muskan Akhtar class 10th 2nd position, Chander Mohini class 10th 3rd position respectively.
The winners were appreciated with cash prize, momentos and citation certificates.
The remaining eight participants were facilitated with consolation prizes.
Speaking on the occasion Shiv Kumar Sharma President Senior Citizens Welfare Forum (Regd.) Katra, stressed the need amongst the growing buds to respect their parents and teachers as they carry experiences and are the responsible assets of the Society.
For conducting the symposium the duty of Judgement party by Sukhdev Singh, Mohan Lal, Mohan Singh, RS Manhas and Mubarik Singh organized the said event nicely.
In addition to above event plantation drive was launched in the premises of Govt. Higher Secondary School Aghar Jitto by planting one chinar tree and other plants by the above dignitaries and the students of this institution.
