Poonch, Aug 12: The people of Chandimarh-Poshama have expressed their resentment over the pathetic attutude of the PMGSY authorities who failed to complete met a 8.5 Km long road in a time period of ten years source said here today
Source said the construction of Chandimarh-Poshama road was started in 2008 last after doing earth work upto 5kms the work was stalled. The locals have expressed their resentment against the department that the work was left midway which caused more inconveience to the locals who have to cross a zigzag river at Dogrian village as there was no bridge over it. We think how to go across the river when we have some patient with us said a local while talking to ET. Our school going children too have to cross the river while going to school putting their lives at risk they added. We do not have any other alternative road they further added.
It is pertinent to mention here that the people who are in Government service or some business have already vacated from these areas along with bag and baggage and are living in the town yet the leftover poor lot of people have to face hardships on daily basis.
Likewise the scenerio of health, power and other basic necessicities was said to be in dilapidated Condition in these villages which are cut off with rest of the district source said no tehsil offiers, SDM or any officer from the district has ever paid any visit to these areas where people woes go unheard and their sufferings increases day by day.Locals have urged the district administrationto take the stock of peoples problems of these villages and construction of Chandimarh-Poshama road be completed and held a public darbar in the area to listen the problems of people, they added.
