| HDF appointees of Budgam to be shown door soon | | Follow-up | | Early Times Report
Budgam, Aug 12 : As the issue related to illegal appointees under Hospital Development Fund (HDF) in Khansahib has become talk of the town , Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Budgam is under tremendous pressure to show door to these backdoor appointees. The axe is likely to fall not only on illegal appointees of Khansahib but appointees of other blocks of district like Chadoora , Beerwah , Chaharsharief , Magam may also be shown the door. Sources have told Early Times that Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Budgam and BMO Khansahib (present and past) are under severe pressure / criticism from authorities for making these illegal appointments. Deputy Commissioner Budgam has already written to CMO Budgam to inquire into the matter. As reported already Block Medical Officer (BMO) Khansahib who is the custodian of all the records and official documents in his block had denied to share information under RTI Act regarding backdoor appointment of more than 100 persons under hospital development fund (HDF).
An application under RTI was filed last month and information seekers sought information invoking legal term as expeditiously as possible.
As reported already in a brazen violation of the recruitment rules and also without the approval of the competent authorities / state government more than 100 persons have allegedly been appointed under the Hospital Development Fund (HDF) in Khansahib medical block during last 6 months. Sources say neither any interview nor any written test was conducted while making these appointments.
From March 2018 till July end as many as 100 blue-eyed boys and girls have been appointed in various capacities in Sub District Hospital (SDH) Khansahib and several primary health centers (PHCs) of Khanshaib medical block. Sources say that present and past Block Medical Officers (BMOs) of Khansahib are said to be involved in this scam.
Only a few years back as many as 132 unauthorized appointments under HDF were made in Sopore and several senior doctors of Sub-District Hospital Sopore were said to be involved in this scam. In Pulwama district also several illegal appointments have been made in District Hospital Pulwama few years back. |
