PCVV organizes seminar

Jammu, Aug 12: One day seminar was organized by Pradesh Congress Vichar Vibhag (PCVV) in collaboration with Rahul Gandhi Youth Brigade (RGYB) at Kamoor Ramgarh border of Samba.
According to press release, the seminar was organized by S. Sarbjit Singh Johal, President (PCVV) Samba on "the failures of BJP Govt. and sufferings of border people". The locals of the area in large number along with senior congress leaders participated.
Ashok Sharma, Advocate former MLA-MLC and Coordinator AICC Vichar Vibhag incharge states of Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Haryana elaborated upon the Border Area Development Project (BADP) also being implemented in the eleven border districts of J&K State.
He demanded that this state being hilly with remote areas and infested with insurgency and volatile borders, the BADP should have special focus here. He said for J&K entire eleven border districts Kathua, Samba, Jammu, Rajouri, Poonch, Budgam, Baramulla, Kupwara, Bandipora, Kargil and Leh should be brought under BADP scheme instead of only restricting this scheme to the border Blocks of these districts, otherwise the very purpose and spirit of this scheme gets lost.
Jahangir Mir, former Deputy Chairman, J&K Legislative Council said that Border people are our strategical asset who move shoulder to shoulder with the army during war and bear all hazards and sufferings on the borders and they deserve a fair deal.
Tasadaq Hussain, former MLC said that BJP has failed on all fronts. The promises to bring back black money from abroad and provide one crore jobs per year as promised by Prime Minister in election speeches have turned hollow.
Thakur Puran Singh, former MLA Billawar said that the petrol and diesel prices have been increased unchecked when after 2014 the crude oil prices were ever low in the international market.
Arjun Sharma Youth Congress Leader in his address stated that the AIIMS and Tawi Lake projects could not be started by BJP-PDP Govt. as was promised.
Vinod Sharma, former Congress General Secretary said that as to why the Govt. is shying away to reveal the monitory details of Raffle Fighter Aircraft deal.
Capt. Lalit Sharma, State Chairman, Pradesh Congress Vichar Vibhag highlighted the services rendered by Congress party to the nation and said that Congress is an ideology which is connected to the soul and aspirations of the country. Others who participated in the programme include B.R. Chandan, former Dy. Advocate General, S.C. Gupta former Senior Addl. Advocate General, Ankush Raina Provincial President RGYD, Arjun Sharma State General Secretary RGYB, Nakul Sharma District President RGYB Jammu, Shaw Nawaj Khaki District President RGYB, Rajouri Ch. Zunaid Ahmad Advocate and many former sarpanches and panches of the area.
