JAMMU, Aug 17: Jammu and Kashmir Teachers coordination committee (a joint platform of seven teachers unions and associations) are going to hold protest in support of their demands on August 19, here at press club. As per press statement ,in this connection different teams of J&K United School Teachers Association( USTA) led by its leaders in various districts including Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Rajouri, Reasi ,Kishtwar and Udhampur visited in various schools and appealed the teaching community to participate in large number in a protest demonstration on the call of J&K Teachers coordination at Press Club Jammu
on Aug 19 ,2018 to focus on long pending demands of teaching community. The demands put forth Teachers coordination committee include; Implementation of 7th Pay commission in favor of teachers , masters , head-masters working under SSA and RMSA .Delink salary of teachers and masters working under SSA/RMSA from central funds and link it with state funds. Transfer of masters, lectures and head-masters, who have completed their tenure in far flung areas and several other demands. USTA in a statement also appeals the Governor Administration to concede the demands at an earliest otherwise teaching community will be compelled to launch agitation on large scale.
