Poonch, Aug 17: No drawing and disbursing powers have been conferred upon the newly appointed Additional development Commissioners for Kotranka, Nowshera, Sunderbani and Kalakote Source said here today.
They said the new ADCs were appointed in January 2018 for four sub-divisions of Rajouri district which include Kotranka, Nowshera, Sunderbani and Kalakote. ADC of Kotranka has power to issue PRCs and land possession while as other three ADCs of Sunderbani Nowshera and Kalakote can issue PRCs only they added.
To vest upon the drawing and disbursing powers to officers the then District Development Commissioner Dr Shahid Iqbal had shot a letter to Commissioner Secretary Revenue Department for vesting the DD powers to ADCs on May 12, 2018 but till date nothing was done in this regard.
People while talking to ET, have alleged that the posts of ADCs for four sub-divisions were created for the public benefit but keeing them power less was a big cruel joke with people. They said that wings of these ADCs have been clipped by the Government so how can they be able to redears the public grievances for which they were appointed. They urged the government to grant the drawing and disbursing powers to ADCs so that they can reach to the public they added. |
