Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 17: An infamous land grabber is eyeing land of irrigations department in Sidhra and has started executing his nefarious designs under well hatched conspiracy.
Earlier the land grabbers had constructed a cowshed in the encroached land but this time, he has dumped several dozen truck loads of filling material and has also parked an old truck on the encroached site near Jammu and Kashmir Police Security headquarters' buildings.
Sources informed Early Times that when the administrative machinery was busy in the preparation of Independence day parade, the land grabber had found it appropriate opportunity to grab the land.
"An old truck (canter) has been parked there in the grabbed portion of Irrigation department's land on bank of seasonal rivulet by the land grabber. On the eve of Independence day, several truck loads of river bed material was dumped there and even with the help of earth movers, the dumped material was also leveled", sources informed, adding that the encroachment was clearly visible to everyone.
The encroachment was done by the land grabber, in the rivulet and the foundation wall of Irrigation department could be visible on the spot. This is the third attempt by the land grabber to encroach the land. Earlier he had attempted to grab the land by constructing a cowshed and had also kept some cows to befool masses but after exposure by Early Times, same was dismantled by the authorities.
The land grabber had again raised the structure but it was again dismantled after which the notorious land grabber chose Independence day to grab the land again. "There are ample evidences that the land grabber is hand in glove with government authorities and they were assisting him to grab the land", sources alleged, adding that only the intervention of Governor's office could save the land from encroachment.
