Four killed, one injured in head on collision between two vehicles

Jammu, Oct 1: Four persons were killed while one sustained injuries when two vehicles collided head on last night at Bathera falling under the jurisdiction of kanachak police station on AKhnoor road.
Police sources said that Yesterday at about 1025 hours, one vehicle Tata Xenon bearing registration number JK08G-3553 driven by Sameek Sharna of Ward no.03 Pacca Danga Akhnoor coming from Jammu towards Akhnoor with rash and negligent manner and while reaching at Bathera he lost the control over the speedy vehicle and collided with one wagnor bearing registration number JK02BS-9796 which was coming from opposite side with rash negligent manner.
The collision was so potent that all the four persons travelling in wagonr car died on spot and have been identified as Bupinder Singh son of Raghubir Singh of Patiyadi Gurha Brahmna, Davinder Singh son of Uttam Singh, Rana Partap Singh son of Raghubir Singh and Vikram Singh son of Sham Singh all residents of Marjalli died on spot.
While driver of tata xenon namely Sameek Sharna of Ward no. 03, Pacca Danga Akhnoor received injuries and shifted to SDH Akhnoor for treatment.
Bodies of the deceased were shifted to the mortuary of the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu for autopsy. After conducting the autopsy, bodies were handed over to their legal hires for last rites.
In this regard a case under FIR No. 126/18 under sections 279, 337 and 304A of RPC has been registered at police station Kanachak and further investigation in this regard is on.
