| Despite MCC, ACD directs officials to highlight BJP Govt's achievements | | | Asif Iqbal Naik

Kishtwar, Oct 1: In a brazen violation of model code of conduct, Assistant Commissioner Development Kishtwar Anil Kumar Chandail today directed all the officials of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department to hold Gram Sabhas in all Panchayats of Kishtwar District.
As per the details available with Early Times, ACD Kishtwar vide circular No. ACDK/2018-19/8502-186 Dated 1-10-2018 asked their subordinates to hold Gram Sabhas on the eve of birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi .
The official according to the sources has also been directed to highlight the achievements and schemes of the BJP Government.
ACD Kishtwar despite knowing the fact that Government has already withdrawn the circular with regard to holding of Gram Sabhas due to imposition of Model code of conduct in the state has also directed the BDOs to release Payments to Influential job card holders so that particular party will get benefits in Panchayat elections.
It is pertinent to mention that DC Doda, Simrandeep Singh issued a general order vide No. WANT/D/18/1913 Dated 17-9-2018 with regard to imposition of Model code of conduct with the announcement of Urban Local Bodies and the Panchayat elections which clearly stated that the officer posted in Kishtwar District are working towards strengthening of vote bank of particular party which is in power in Delhi. |
