Early Times Report
KATHUA, Oct 9: Dozens of people hailing from panchayat Bhatodi,, Dhannu Parole, Guddu Flal, Lahri, Ria Sial etc raised their voice against alleged step-motherly attitude of Member Legislature Assembly (MLA) Bani who subdued the rights of these people and upgraded Government Lower High School Sadrota than High School Bhatodi.
People from up reach area approximately 110 km from Kathua town today approached Early Times Team and expressed their grievance with a belief that it is the only source to fulfill the demand.
Pertinently representative of village Bhatodi and surrounding Panchayats submitted that there is a Government high school Bhatodi Zone Malhar is running from 1937 and upgraded upto 10th class in 2003 with strength of the student is about 342. There is another High school that works from 1967 and have just 182 pupils' strength. Being a middle venue among surrounding Panchayats, Bhatodi School deserves up gradation but self centered MLA Bani Jeewan Lal recommended HS Sadotra than HS Bhatodi for Higher secondary classes that triggered resentment against him.
Chaman Lal ex sarpanch, Deep Kumar,Darshan Singh Bishan Dutt, Vaishno Dutt and many other prominent disclosed that the government High school Bhadoti is in great need for up gradation keeping in view its establishment as well as strength of students.
They added that moreover, said school is also falls at centre places of all surrounding Panchayats whereas GHS Sadotra is proposed to be upgraded made under pressure of MLA Bani depriving the rights of deserving students. People demanded necessary action into the matter and said that government cannot sideline the right of 342 students. They threatened to approach judiciary if there demand is not to be considered.
