Early Times Report
kishtwar, Oct 13: The unemployed youth of District Kishtwar have expressed their concern over the large scale unemployment and demanded employment in AFCONS and Jay Pee Companies which have been assigned the execution of Pakal dul hydroelectric project.
Joginder Bhandari, a senior youth leader of District Kishtwar has said that the executing agencies Viz AFCONS and JP companies have been entrusted with the responsibility to execute the Pakal Dul Hydroelectric project but it is a matter of great concern that they are not providing employment to local unemployed youths of the district in the project as a result of which brewing resentment is prevailing among the unemployed youths of the area.
Bhandari while addressing youth meeting has said that the executing agencies of Pakal dul hydroelectric project is ignoring employment to local youths of the district but at the same time the agencies are recruiting manpower from outside the state as well as from out side the District whereas the manpower required by the executing agencies are available in the District who were having sufficient experience in handling various kind of machinaries being used in hydro power projects.
He said the AFCONS management is dancing on the tune of MLA Kishtwar who is befooling the unemployed youth and during the ULB elections he has made promises that he will accommodate unemployed in private companies as a result of which the executing agencies have withheld the select list of various trades whose interviews were conducted last month only to accommodate the influential youth.
