Geelani & Co. silent on Qazi Yasir's obscene video
Hypocrisy!

Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 13: South Kashmir-based separatist leader Qazi Yasir's obscene video has completely exposed the double standards of separatist leaders including Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Syed Ali Shah Geelani and Yasin Malik, who despite public outrage, haven't issued a statement or condemned the obscene act.
The so-called leaders, who waste no time in accusing security forces of committing human rights violations in Kashmir, have preferred to remain silent on the issue that has hurt the sentiments of Muslims across the country.
Geelani and other religious leaders haven't also issued any fatwa against Qazi Yasir who can be seen masturbating with an unknown female during a video chat is doing rounds on social media sites.
"Sadly our political, social and especially religious leaders haven't yet reacted over the issue. It's distressing because not responding to such developments isn't good as it implies that our leaders are conveying us to hide the misdeeds of all those people who claim to have direct or indirect association with the separatist movement," a senior citizen from Anantnag told Early Times over phone.
"This issue is being debated and discussed, but ultimately leadership has to come forward and address the issue," he said.
Anantnag civil society and trade union have also maintained over this pressing issue. "They (traders and civil society members) love to share tables with politicians and bureaucrats. These leaders always prefer to gain personnel benefits but never address the concerns of society," said locals.
"We don't want to be part of this dirt. Let's see what happens," a trader said.
Meanwhile, Early Times learnt from reliable sources that the Qazi family has decided to install Qazi Shubli, younger brother of Qazi Yasir, as next Mirwaiz of South Kashmir.
"Family will remain silent for a week and then will proceed with plan-B under which Qazi Shubli will be installed as the next Mirwaiz," sources claimed.
Qazi Yasir, who himself had led several agitations against such issues in past years, was removed as the Mirwaiz of South Kashmir by the patron of Islamic Research Institute after his obscene video went viral.
Important to mention, in 2010, [Monalisa episode], Qazi Yasir with the support of Geelani-like leaders led an agitation against a businessman of Anantnag town after an old photograph showing the businessman with his girlfriend appeared. The businessman was compelled to leave the town in the middle of night.
Similarly, in 2009, he also led an agitation against a wealthy businessman of the town in Anantnag. This time also businessman was accused of illegal trafficking of girls.
Businessmen, in these cases not only were defamed but they also suffered huge financial losses.
