| 12 bovines rescued from smugglers | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Oct 13: Rajouri police claimed to have rescued 12 bovines from the clutches of two smugglers in Thanamandi area.
Police spokesman said that a police team headed by Inspector Nazir Ahmad Dar-SHO Thanamandi under the supervision of DySP Iftikar Chowdhary-SDPO Thanamandi was on routine patrolling when two vehicles (tata mobile) bearing registration number JK11A-0485 driven by Khadam Hussain and JK11B-5897 driven by Pervaiz Ahmed were intercepted and stopped at naka point.
Spokesman further said that during checking, 12 bovine animals were found loaded in the vehicles and both drivers were arrested and the vehicles were seized. Police said that cases under FIR nos. 184/2018 and 185/2018 under sections 279,336 and 188 of RPC have been registered and investigation taken up. |
