District Admin conducts surprise check, 90 officials found absent

Rajouri, Oct 13: With the aim of restoring punctuality and discipline in government offices, 50 different teams constituted by Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Mohammad Aijaz Asad conducted surprise checks at 115 different government offices in the district in the morning, during which 90 Officials/ employees were found absent or late in the duty.
These checkings were started at 10:00 am. The checking which were conducted by team of officers and headed by chief planning officer, ACR, Rajouri, AC Defence Rajouri, DSEI Rajouri, Deputy Registrar cooperatives, Distruct Panchyat officer Rajouri,Chief Agriculture officer Rajouri, Tehsildar Headquarter, DSWO Rajouri, Tehsildar Rajouri, ADL. Treasury officer Rajouri, Assistant Director planning CAO office Rajouri, Functional manager and Naib Tehsildars.
During the inspection it was found out that against strength of 1980 of different departments checked in the district, 1288 were found present,178 on leave, 424 were on official tour and as many as 90 were found absent.
The inspected establishment includes all most all the offices across the district. As many as eight officials were absent in MC Thanamandi, five in chief education officer Rajouri, five in chief medical officer Rajouri, three in GP Fund office Rajouri, one in CDPO Rajouri, three in fire and emergency office Rajouri, two in AD Fishries,11 in chief agriculture office Rajouri, three in chief animal husbandry office Rajouri, two in SE hydraulic, three in XEn REW office Rajouri, one in district panchyat office Rajouri, two in ACD Office Rajouri, three in DGM JK, two in deputy registrar cooperative society, four in irrigation and flood control, two in TSWO Nowshera, two in ICDS Nowshera, one in SDAO Nowshera, one in sericulture, one in BMO Nowshera, one in EO MC Nowshera, two in Horticulture Budhal, two in Agriculture office Kotranka, six in SE PWD circle Rajouri, six in Office of Rajouri Development Authority, seven in office of XEn PWD division Rajouri. Meanwhile, a spokesperson of District administration said that as per commitment to keep punctuality and maintain discipline in the government offices, more surprise inspections shall be conducted so that official machinery is available to resolve the problems faced by the common people and services are provided in effective way to the citizens. A few days back inspection was also held of health offices. The spokesperson further added that Absence of officials will not be tolerated in government offices at any cost and no laxity in attendance and punctuality in the offices would be tolerated.
