Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 22: SOS International under the chairmanship of Rajiv Chuni today observed October 22 as Black Day since it was the day when Muzaffarabad district of J&K was first attacked by tribals in 1947 which was designed and organized by Pakistan. The function was held at Master Devi Chand Park Rehari, Jammu in which thousands of PoK DPs remembered martyrs of Muzaffarabad by paying them floral tributes. Wreath laying ceremony and floral Tributes were paid to martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sake of state and rest of the nation. 2 minutes silence and All-religious prayer (Sarva Dharma Prarthana) were held during the occurrence.
The PoK DPs by wearing black ribbons on their shoulders lodged protest against the tribal attack on their ancestors. On the same day i.e. October 22, tribal invaders hired by Pakistan were sent with a conspiracy to change the demography of J&K by executing genocide of thousand of Hindus and Sikhs. Thousands of people were killed, women were raped, young women were abducted and their whereabouts is still not known moreover, it's not a black day for PoK DPs but it's the black day for entire nation as PoK DPs was the first ever community of the state that took first ever bullet on their chest. All the speakers expressed resentment against Government for its brutal approach of not providing justice to PoK DPs even after the lapse of 7 decades.
While addressing the gathering, SOS International Chairman, Rajiv Chuni stated that every year, 22nd October is observed as Black Day because on this gloomy day in 1947 tribals sponsored by Pakistan regulars raided J&K state.
