Five drivers booked for overloading

Rajouri, Oct 22: Rajouri police here has registered cases against five drivers for indulging in overloading of passengers thereby making vehicles prone to accident and endangering lives of passengers.
Police spokesman said that two of these FIRs were registered in Police Station Rajouri against the drivers of tempo bearing registration numbers JK02AG-8814 and JK11A-8575 which were intercepted in overloaded condition by DTI Traffic Police Rajouri and later information was shared with SHO Rajouri Police Station.
Meanwhile, another police team headed by Romal Singh-SHO Sunderbani during traffic checking intercepted one Auto bearing registration number JK11C-4593 on way to Sunderbani from Thandapani road being driven by driver namely Sonu Kumar resident of Marchola Sunderbani.
The driver overloaded 12 passengers and some were hanging from back side of vehicle thus causing danger to their lives. In this connection, a case under FIR No.103/18 under sections 279 and 336 of RPC, 39/192 MV Act against said driver was registered and the driver arrested on spot.
Similarly, Budhal police station team headed by Inspector Tilak Raj -SHO Budhal police station intercepted a minibus bearing registration number JK11-6229 and found it overloaded.
Taking note of it, FIR has been registered under sections 279 and 336 of RPC in Budhal Police Station against the driver and vehicle was seized.
During trafic checking at Mihari Kalakote, Traffic police intercepted a Tata Magic bearing registration number JK11B-1161 driven by Mohd Akram resident of Kalakot which was found heavily overloaded and information was shared with SHO Kalakote.
On this a case under FIR no. 84/2018 under section 279 and 336 of RPC has been registered in police station Kalakote.
