Several pay tributes to martyr of Sunderbani

RAMBAN, Oct 22: Several paid rich tributes to martyr, Lance Naik (LN), Ranjit Singh of 8 JAK Li, who was martyred in a gunbattle at Suinderbani of district Rajouri yesterday. MLA, Ramban, Neelam Kumar Langeh, GOC, Rajeev Nanda, Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Showkat Aijaz Bhat, SSP, Anita Sharma and Deputy Commandant, Sourav Missra besides Army Jawans and civilians paid rich tributes to LN, Ranjit Singh in a solemn ceremony at Chanderkot, Ramban here today. The martyr hailing from Suligam village of Tehsil and district Ramban is survived by his mother, father, wife besides three younger sisters and three brothers, he had joined the Indian Army in 2002, will be remembered by his comrades and society as a true patriot. The mortal remains of the martyrs reached at his native places for conducting last rites with full armed force honors, an officer said, adding the force stands in solidarity with the bereaved families and remains committed to their dignity and well being.
