SMSCE Digiana organizes Inter-College Paper Reading Competition

Jammu, Oct 22: Inter-College Paper Reading Competition on Gandhian Philosophy was organized in Sant Mela Singh College of Education, Digiana wherein students competent from different colleges of Education participated. Prof. Anurag Gangal, Department of Political Science and Director, Gandhian centre for Peace and Conflict studies, University of Jammu was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Panel of Judges comprised Prof. Sewa Singh, Prof. Anju Sudan and Prof. Inderjeet Kour. Anisha Mahajan of Ranjeet College of Education and Ravneet Kour of Sant Mela Singh College of Education shared First prize whereas Vanshika Jamwal of Galaxy College of Education stood second. Third prize was also shared by two students namely Shifali Choudhary of Chenab College of Education and Palakpreet Kour of Ranjeet College of Education. Consolation prize was given to Shabnam of Guru Nanak College of Education. Certificates were distributed among the winners and participants. The special Lecture on the "Gandhian-Critique of Western Education" was delivered on the same day by Prof. Anurag Gangal wherein he threw lights on Mahatma Gandhi Ji's views on the western education vis-a-viz needs of Indian society and his concept of Indian education, culture, ethics and moral values.
