Accession of J&K with India historic step: Sodhi

New Delhi, Oct 25: S.S Sodhi, Chairman, J&K Intellectual Civil Society, New Delhi today said that accession of J&K with India by Maharaja Hari Singh a historic step.
Addressing a meeting here today with all the members of the Civil Society and Sodi discussed in detail about the accession of Jammu & Kashmir state with India on 26th Oct. 1947 which was a most significant event in politics and history of Sub-Continent. He also appreciated the broad vision of Maharaja Sahib who signed the accession of J&K state with India after removal of the manipulations and problems created by British Rulers, for the welfare of people of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Chairman also stated that finally by signing on the legal document known as "Instrument of Accession on 26-10-1947" by Maharaja Hari Singh Ji of Jammu & Kashmir state became part of India. Consequently, people living in Jammu & Kashmir state received very invaluable gift in the shape of their own country i.e free democratic India.
Sodhi also stated that people living in Jammu & Kashmir state are living like brothers and sisters irrespective of their Caste, Creed or Colour i.e Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians and others live together without any problem for which we are highly grateful to our Honourable and Respected Maharaja Sahib Hari Singh Ji to whom we all salute from the core of our heart.
