YCET students visit Tawi ARC Electrodes

JAMMU, Oct 25: An industrial visit was organized by Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET), for the students of Mechanical Engineering of B.E. 5th Semester at Tawi ARC Electrodes Private Limited, Bari-Brahmana, Samba. Tawi Arc Electrodes was established in the year 1983. It is one of the leading manufacturers of a wide range of optimum quality Mild Steel Welding Electrodes precisely engineered in adherence to the industry set norms. These electrodes are used for conducting current through a work-piece for fusing two different pieces together. On arrival at the Company, Er. Anil Suri, the General Manager of the company welcomed the batch of 70 students of YCET and interact with them on some future general aspects, career planning and the opportunities to get best jobs in the industry. After that students were escorted to the plant with Er. Akhil Suri, CEO of the company and interacted on technical concepts of electrodes, latest techniques, quality control and nature of the business. This visit inspires the students to work hard and fulfill their potential. The exposure to the students will definitely help them to gain real time practical knowledge of what they have been learning theoretically.
The visit was coordinated by Khushbu Singh, Training and Placement Officer and the students were accompanied by Er. Inderdeep Singh, Assistant Professor and Er. Anil Gupta, Lecturer from the Department of Mechanical Engineering
