SBRSMC pays tribute to Rajinder Singh

JAMMU, Oct 26: A delegation of Shaheed Brigadier Rajinder Singh Memorial Committee of Kashmiri Pandits visited Rajinder Pora today the native village of Brig. Rajinder Singh to commemorate the heroic role of the martyr in Oct 1947.
The delegation received a warm welcome from the villagers before the floral tributes were paid to the statue of the martyr and chanted Brig Rajinder Singh Amar Rahey with reverberating voice. The committee has been regularly visiting the village for the last eight years on 26th Oct that is one day earlier before the accession day to pay the tributes. S K Bhat Malmohi elaborated the role of the martyr stopping the raiders from entering into the valley, thus facilitating and paving the way for accession of J&K state with Indian Union.
Shiban Khaibri while speaking eulogized the role of great soul and son of the soil in protecting the lives of minorities and hapless.
Other members who attended the delegation were Kashmiri Lal (PNBMT), Sundri Lal Ji (PNBMT), Manmohan Thaploo (PNBMT) Shadi Lal (BMBMT) Sunil Tickoo, Shiban Tickoo, Smt Usha Koul, Nimmi Bhat and Ravi Raina.
