Terrorists call shots in 'Naya' Pakistan

Jammu, Oct 26: The "Naya Pakistan" under the leadership of the cricketer turned politician Imran Khan is all set to empower the terrorists and the terror outfits led by them.
A Pakistani daily on Friday reported that Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) and Falah-i-Insaniyat Foundation (FIF) led by Mumbai terror attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed are no longer on the list of banned outfits in Pakistan as the presidential ordinance that proscribed them under a UN resolution has lapsed.
According to a list updated on September 5 on the Pakistan National Counter Terrorism Authority's website, 66 organisations have been banned in the Pakistan and the JuD and FIF are not among them.
In February this year, former Pakistan president Mamnoon Hussain promulgated an ordinance amending the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997 to declare JuD and FIF as proscribed groups. The Presidential ordinance had lapsed and it had never been extended.
The new Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan, who had made tall claims after assuming power, is proving to be the stooge of the Pakistan Army and the terror outfits, who virtually are running that country.
An analyst while talking to Early Times said, "Since the day Imran Khan has taken over the reins of the so-called Naya Pakistan the terrorists and their bosses have got a new lease of life as the Khan led government has declared that its supports the terrorist groups active in Jammu and Kashmir."
He said, "Pakistan's Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi seems to be on a mission. His provocative statements are encouraging the terror masterminds like Hafiz Saeed to push more and more infiltrators into Jammu and Kashmir."
The analyst said that since the day Imran Khan has taken the charge he has given freehand to terrorists to operate and spread terror in India. "Soon after Imran Khan was elected as the Prime Minister of Pakistan most people in India had stated that he has been installed by the Army and he is just their puppet. The predictions which were made are coming true," the analyst added.
A Kashmir watcher said, "The new Pakistan government allowing the presidential ordinance banning JuD and FIF to lapse proves that Imran Khan led dispensation wants these organizations to thrive so that the proxy war continues."
He said that Imran Khan stands exposed before the international community. "His desire to hold talks with India has just proved to be a publicity stunt. He (Khan) should bear in mind that talks and terror cannot go together," the Kashmir watcher said, "The Pakistan Prime Minister should first set his own house in order and then poke his nose into the affairs of the other countries."
